Blue Black Permanent (1992) tells the story of a woman coming to terms with the mysterious death of her mother. Through a labyrinthine structure, traversing several decades and different locations across Scotland, the film develops many themes from Tait’s work such as the endurance of places and people over time and across generations.
This screening will be the premiere of the new digitally-remastered 2k version and will be introduced by Dr Sarah Neely (University of Stirling), author of Between Categories: The Films of Margaret Tait.
