Demarco Archive Exhibitions, Summerhall, Edinburgh

This exhibition, part of a larger programme events celebrating the birth of one of Scotland’s most extraordinary filmmakers and poets, Margaret Tait (1918-1999), invites you to explore a selection of archival materials related to Tait’s written work. During her lifetime, Tait self-published a collection of short stories, a book of stories for children, as well as three volumes of poetry, (all of which were subtitled as ‘interim editions’), as well as many other unpublished works.

Works on display include paintings, notebooks, letters and other archival documents rarely on public view.

This exhibition has been made possible with the generous support of Creative Scotland and Richard Demarco and the Demarco European Art Foundation.
