Launch: Les Saisons Magazine No. 2

Les Saisons magazine is dedicated to the writings of filmmakers and artists and to all forms of writing that inhabit the practice and imagination of film. The second issue of the magazine includes unpublished writings or first French translations by Tacita Dean, Deborah Stratman, Lav Diaz, Mauricio Freyre, Margaret Tait, João Maria Gusmão and Pedro Paiva.

The art historian and critic Anne Bertrand will read Tacita Dean’s “Antigone” text, which she translated for this second issue, and present her work on artists’ writings.  Anne Bertrand teaches at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg, where she directed, in the collection, “Que dit l’artiste?, ” the edition of Tacita Dean’s Selected Writings 1992-2011 (2011) and the anthology of Lewis Baltz’ Texts (2019).
