Celebrating the work of pioneering Orcadian artist, filmmaker and poet Margaret Tait (1918-99), film/poems opens on Saturday 23 June.
The exhibition presents screenings of a number of Tait’s key films including Colour Poems, A Portrait of Ga, Calypso and Happy Bees as well as a selection of rarely seen paintings, notes and archive material. film/poems highlights Tait’s unique place in the history of modern art and filmmaking in the 20th century and underlines the impact her work has had on younger artists and filmmakers.
